PYTHONS HOBBIES & COLLECTIBLES

Warhammer
is a tabletop wargame of fantasy battles, played by two or more people. You
can play small-scale skirmish games involving 20 or 30 models a side, up to
massed battles that pit armies of hundreds of models against each other. Rules
that govern how the models move and fight are contained in the Warhammer
rulebook. Players choose and collect armies of models that are described in
separate Warhammer army books. A huge range of models is also available from
Citadel Miniatures, in metal and in plastic.
In a world of legend, mighty
warriors, wizened mages, and savage monsters struggle for supremacy. Ranks
of noble Elves in shining armour battle ravaging armies of Orcs and Goblins;
grim Dwarfs defend their mountain strongholds from the insidious rat-like Skaven;
and the formidable armies of Man hold firm against the mutated minions of Chaos.
This is the Warhammer World, a realm of grim adventure, where only the
strongest survive.
The Warhammer boxed set illustrated above contains all you need to get started, including enough plastic models for your first battles. Just KEEP ON SCROLLING DOWN to find what's in the box!

Our hefty boxed set contains everything you need to start playing Warhammer - except two players!

Warhammer Rulebook
This 288-page rulebook contains rules for playing the game, colour photos,
modelling and painting tips, plus scenarios, and an extensive appendix of extra
rules and information. It also tells you all about the world of Warhammer - the
lands, the people and creatures who live there, and the history of the place.
Plastic Models
The Warhammer boxed set contains enough models to represent the core of two
armies, so you can begin fighting straight away.
| Troops of the Empire | Orc & Goblin Troops |
It
is the duty of these knights and soldiers to defend the human Empire from
the many enemies who would seize these fertile lands for themselves. They
are well-disciplined, and make use of primitive fire-arms and war machines. |
These barbaric green-skinned monsters live in the mountains and forests of
the Old World. Though ill disciplined, they are savage opponents, and often
triumph through sheer force of numbers. |

Dice
The Warhammer rules use 6-sided dice to randomly determine what happens at
points during the game - whether one soldier succeeds in hitting another,
whether troops stand their ground or flee in panic, etc. The two odd-looking
dice are an Artillery dice and a Scatter dice, which are used when you're firing
war machines.
Range Rulers and Templates
Range rulers are used to measure distance for firing weapons and moving troops,
while templates show such things as the area affected by a spell, or where a
cannonball could land.
Ruined Building
Scenery is an essential part of any Warhammer battle, and this cardboard
building will give your troops height to shoot from, and cover to hide behind.
Getting Started Leaflet
This handy leaflet runs you through a couple of examples of play, and explains
how to assemble your models.
What else do you need?
Although the Warhammer boxed set contains everything you need to get you
started, there are a few other things you'll find useful fairly quickly.

ETERNAL BATTLE IN A NIGHTMARE
FUTURE!
Warhammer 40,000 brings the war-torn universe of the 41st Millennium straight onto your tabletop - the ceaseless din of gunfire, thunderous explosions, the rumble of passing tanks and the high-pitched whining of anti-gravitic motors screaming overhead. You are in command of squad after squad of battle-hardened warriors, futuristic vehicles and devastating war machines.
Using Citadel Miniatures, Warhammer 40,000 turns any flat surface into an action-packed battlefield. You make the decisions - advancing under covering fire, bold hit-and-run tactics, strategic withdrawals. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war! Will you survive?
THE START OF SOMETHING HUGE
Warhammer 40,000 is more than just a boxed game, it's the starting point for an entire hobby. In no time you'll be building armies, painting miniatures and creating scenery to add more depth to your gaming experience. The Warhammer 40,000 Boxed Game contains everything you need to start conquering the universe right away!
Inside the Warhammer 40,000 box, not only will you find the massive tome that is the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook, but so much more as well. We have included two different forces of Citadel Miniatures, so you can begin fighting battles from the moment you open the box: The Space Marines - genetically altered supermen, and the Dark Eldar - a cruel and vicious race of raiders and pirates!
WHAT'S IN THE WARHAMMER 40,000 BOX?

A 288 PAGE RULEBOOK???
Don't Panic!!! Of course the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook
contains rules (it has to, especially because we decided to call it a r
ulebook),
but it isn't all rules, there is a whole bunch of other things crammed in it as
well!
The Rules - The Rulebook (see above) contains all the rules you need to play Warhammer 40,000. Everything is in one place, from moving and shooting, to close assaults (vicious hand-to-hand combat) and even using vehicles and psychic powers. To make your battles more interesting, there are various battle scenarios to give you new tactical challenges.
Army Lists - Army lists are the guidelines that you use to assemble your force. There are many different armies and alien forces that you can choose to command in the 41st Millennium, and we have included just about every one we could think of. There are the forces of the Imperium - the Space Marines, the Imperial Guard, and the Sisters of Battle, as well as a few other Heroes of the Imperium that you can add to your Imperial battle group. We have even included basic army lists for the alien scum that infect the universe: the mysterious Eldar, the greenskinned Orks, the truly alien Tyranids, the malicious Dark Eldar, and those abominations and heretics - the forces of Chaos.
And More! - You will also find tips and information on collecting Warhammer 40,000 armies, painting Citadel Miniatures, and modeling terrain. And of course, there is tons and tons of terrific art and beautifully painted Citadel Miniatures throughout the entire book.
CITADEL
MINIATURES
Beyond the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook and all the dice, templates and outstanding new scenery, you will find the core troops of two different armies, the gallant Space Marines and the vile and totally reprehensible Dark Eldar.
The Space Marine force consists of 10 Space Marines and a Space Marine Land Speeder. (pictured below). A Land Speeder is a fast attack vehicle that lets the Space Marines get to grips with the enemy quickly.
Each Space Marine miniature is really a multi-piece model. You can assemble your Space Marines in all sorts of poses, and there are loads of different accessories you can equip them with, from scanners and grenades, to different heads and weapons.

You also get the additional parts to make a Space Marine Sergeant, a Space Marine with a Missile Launcher, and a Space Marine equipped with a flamer (great for forcing enemy troops out of cover!). Even the Land Speeder comes with different weapons, so you can pick the right one for the job.
The
opposing force is composed of 20 Dark Eldar Warriors. These are multi-piece
models as well. You can equip your Dark Eldar with wicked hand-to-hand combat
weapons, Splinter Rifles, or the dreaded Splinter Cannon. And there are tons of
extra pieces you can add, like spikes and blades for weapons, as well as
different heads and crests.
The Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook contains great tips for assembling your models, with advice and step-by-step instructions for painting and basing your models so you can start battling it out right away. There are also lots of examples of different color schemes for the Dark Eldar and the Space Marines.
After a few games, you can add and expand your forces easily. Citadel Miniatures makes thousands of fantastic models for use with Warhammer 40,000. From the massive tanks and Dreadnoughts of the Imperium, to the sleek and deadly troops and vehicles of the Eldar. The Dark Eldar are a completely new army for Warhammer 40,000 and we have tons of new miniatures and vehicles for them. You can see some of the great miniatures throughout these pages. For a more indepth look, feel free to check out our price list which contains just about every Citadel Miniature.
